Thanks for the squash info. I ma writing this in the front of my favorite cookbook so I won't forget. I just never tried squash. I used to do the field peas and green beans in Mom's big pressure canner when the children were living at home. For those who don't do the pressure cookers, I found a few years ago if you cooked squash until totally done in a tiny amount of water and no seasoning they kept lots better than blanching. Our freezer is full of some items that were given to me by someone recently and there won't be room for the okra and squash I normally freeze. Thanks so much. mssewcrazy
