After a bit of a downer morning, I headed to the sewing room......
took some of this:
and came up with this:
Another skirt for DGD. Took a length of fabric, serged a back seam, sewed in waist elastic and topstitched down. And fabric became skirt! I also have a gray/black combo of this same fabric. Brown is more DGD's color than mine.

Great pick-me up Linda! I bought that same fabric and made a short skirt with a stretch yoke out of black stretch cotton knit for a 20 something college student.
