Simplicity 1959, View D

I enjoy sewing/knitting chemo caps/hats as community service projects.  I get regular feedback from the hospital/treatment center where they are donated as to how much the patients enjoy receiving them.  That makes me happy and makes it all worthwhile.

When Simplicity patterns were recently on sale, I happened to thumb through the pattern catalog section with the hats shown and picked up this one.  I like several of the hats in this pattern.

Mine is made from a multi-stripe polar fleece.  Easy - just a bit time consuming sewing the tucks.  I think I counted 32 tucks.  Really cute IMO.

It goes in the donation sack for the next delivery.

This week has been a bit hectic so this is the only completed project from the sewing room so far this week.

  1. What a great project to participate in. I really like this pattern too, the version you made, the slouchy hat and view 2 in the side pictures.
