In a very short trial and quick jury deliberations, Williams is found guilty of murdering Cynthia McClellan, wife of Kaufman County District Attorney.
There was no defense. Defense attorneys called no witnesses, cross examined none of the prosecution witnesses, and only made a closing statement. Trial began Monday and the defense rested yesterday. Jury deliberations lasted less than two hours.
Sentencing phase will begin Monday.
Thanks for enduring my sidestep from sewing. This case has been weighing on my mind and the minds of many in our County for the last year.
Next post will be my version of Rhonda's slippers.
No comment except to say this has been a shocking case.
