Life just got in the way--and may continue to do so, BUT, in an effort to get back in a sewing/blogging rhythm, I have officially entered a contest on Pattern Review.
My inspiration was sparked by the "One Pattern Many Looks" contest that begins today. I think I know which pattern I want to use, BUT that is subject to change if the creativity for that one fails to surface. ;)
Another thing I have to learn is how to do composite or collage photos as that is one of the requirements. If this doesn't materialize for me, the contest may be doomed for me. Anyhow, hoping it all comes together, and I'd better get busy...............
The need to have good computer skills is expanding in many, many areas of life. Kind of annoying.
ReplyDeleteRe the composite, if you have access to Powerpoint, then open a blank slide, insert the pictures you want to composite into the slide and then save as powerpoint as normal (lets you change it later if needed), but when you are happy with the arrangement, save the powerpoint as a .jpg. This is how I do all my little sidebar composites on http://ruthieksews1.blogspot.co.uk/ and you can add words as well if you like. Only downside is they are not really high resolution.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruthie. This helps!
DeleteThere's an app I use for Instagram called layout. It makes photo collages very simple. The app is free as well. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi! glad to see you're back, even if it's 'kinda' back. Hope you're well...
ReplyDeletegood luck on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back my fellow Texas! Looking forward to your one of many creations.
ReplyDeleteThat's exciting that you are joining a PR contest! I use the Layout app for Instagram to create my collages. When the collage is created, the picture is automatically uploaded from my phone to my Flickr account.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the contest!!
