Lucky Accidental Find

Pink sherpa:

I had a doctor appointment in Dallas this morning, and then I was to meet a friend for lunch. Well, between finishing at the doctor and time to meet my friend, I had just over an hour to kill. I wasn't that far from the Perth Street "fabric district." I really shouldn't go, I'm telling myself, but my car is going that direction...what else could I do? I give the $1/yd fabric a walk thru and nothing jumped out at me, so on to the higher priced area. Out of the corner of my eye, I see one roll of what appeared to be sherpa. I get closer, and YES, it is dusty pink sherpa--the only color they have--the color I had been wanting--and only $8/yd and 60" wide.

Needless to say, I had to have some. I got 2.5 yds - should be enough for a jacket. So much for my fabric moratorium today......

Due to the time of my lunch date, I couldn't stop at any of the other stores and that was good for my fabric moratorium.

And, no, I still haven't gotten back in the sewing room. . . . . yet.

  1. That is a lucky find! That's the same color I've been searching for and you found it at such a great price! Please post a photo of your jacket when you complete it.
