Give me several days of 75 degree weather, and I go nuts for the yard work.
Sis and I visited a friend this past Saturday who maintains an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL yard. It looks like a park with walking paths. I'll post a few pics later. Anyhow, she wanted to thin some plants so she gave us each a shovel and said--go for it! We got some wonderful things, and I've been busy planting.
I have cleaned out a front flower bed and went to the nursery today for compost, mulch, and pansies. In this part of the county, we plant pansies in November and they stay with us until April or so--when it gets to be too warm. I've always loved pansies!
Of course, then I had to pick up a couple more plants/bushes. I had most of the pickup truck full with my nursery finds.
Couldn't leave the shopping area until I hit J's and Hancocks. Picked up a couple of Vogue patterns (at $3.99 ea) and one Butterick (.99). Like I needed more patterns, right!!!! Well, they are in the collection now.
Still no hems in the UFO stuff. Someday! Tomorrow I plan to play in the yard again. Pansies want to be planted!

Many of the flowering plants were in their "rest mode." Some of the everblooming roses were about to bloom, but no real color when we were there. Texas sage was blooming purple and some reds. She has something blooming almost all year long. In the spring when the bulbs start popping, it's truly wonderful!
