I think the altered SA Sandra jeans pattern is a winner. I sewed most of the revised pattern (see previous post) today. I used a mystery fabric that seems to be mostly cotton; however, it does have a touch of stretch to it. It's a denim weave, but not a true denim. They will certainly work as a wearable muslin to better determine wearability of this altered pattern. They just need the waistband completed with a buttonhole/jeans button, and they need hemming. I wanted to show you a photo, but my camera died yesterday. I could use DH's, but I'll just wait now until they are finished. I hope to pick up a new camera tomorrow.
Regarding purple jeans...........white 100% cotton denim and packages of purple dye are winging their way to my house via UPS. Purple jeans may come to life here after all.
Purple jeans, what fun and what fun you'll have creating the perfect color.
