So, DGD sent this photo from Sweet Makes Three and said something like, "Hey Grams, I know you are very busy, but I would LOVE a tote like these. You know I'm not nearly qualified to make something this nice. You think you could make me one?"
And I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the story. She wanted the gray chevron stripe with red paisley lining. Lucky for me her, I found almost identical fabric at joann.com. I ordered, and it came quickly.
I used the dimensions given from Sweet Makes Three and generally the same instructions. It has been so long since I've done any embroidery, I had to reacquaint myself with Embird and my embroidery hoops.
I probably should have placed the initial a bit higher, but done is done. As you can see I made a matching zipper bag just because.
She was thrilled when it arrived. In her words, "Grams, you're the best! I love you!"
More than payment enough.
