Martha of Now Sewing requested a photo of my clothesline tote bag. I made two of these bags - one for myself (the one pictured here) and a second one for my ASG Christmas Exchange.
I'm sorry to say that I failed to get a photo of the bag that now resides with one of my sewing guild friends. It was made the same way, but with different colorway fabrics.
I enjoyed making these bags. If you do a search on YOUTUBE , you will find many tutorials for making bowls from cotton clothesline. Covering the clothesline with fabric strips can be time consuming, but not hard at all. I used two packages of 100 ft. clothesline for each of the totes.
Love the colors and the handles are way cool. Thanks so much for posting. I'll have to try handles now!
ReplyDeleteI love your bag.. what a terrific thing to make.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Linda. I've always wondered how these were made. It does sound work intensive ,I must say !!
ReplyDeleteI saw the basket that Martha made and it is lovely. Just love your bag. I need to give this a try.
