She was Right!

How is it that MOM knew SO much - yet as a teenager I was definitely sure I knew more that she did!  Funny how she got "smarter" as I got older.  If she were alive today, I'd tell her how just about EVERYTHING she always told me, I KNOW NOW to be TRUE.

SO,, that  brings me to the point - Mom always told me that as I got older, time would pass faster--at least it would seem that way.  Yep, SHE was right!  2015 seemed to ZIP by me.  You too?

Even tho I didn't blog much, I look at my side bar and see that I did accomplish quite a bit.  No "recap" from me, but it's all over there.  It was all over there, but I've now updated to 2016 accomplishments--so......

One of the last projects of this year was a gift for a dear friend.  We have known each other since high school but have just (in 2015) reconnected at a time in our lives where we "need" and so "appreciate" one another.  What a blessing and gift!

SO, when I fell in love with Rhonda's free pattern/tutorial for a great tote bag, I knew my friend "needed" one.  I'm happy to say she loved it.

I added an inside zippered pocket (Rhonda had noted that she hadn't added a pocket but would next make).  It was a fun make.  My friend is so creative with so many things, this fabric was perfect!!

Happy 2016 to everyone!  Hope the new year brings good things to each of you!

Your bag is fabulous and I love the fabric combination. If you don't mind, I'll include it in next Friday's post.
