Ho Hum

I couldn't get in the mood today to do any sewing that took any real thinking. I've got something weighing on my mind and concentration is not strong today.

So, I did some community service children's sewing. Several stores have donated "half of an outfit" to the Rainbow Room and our ASG neighborhood group volunteered to make each of them into "whole outfits." I brought home 4 pair of pants and 2 tops. The pants need a top and the tops need pants. I took a quick trip through my stash and found some corduroy to make pants for one of the tops and some sweatshirt knit to make pants for a little blue sweatshirt. Those were quick and easy. I've got to keep looking for fabric to match the other things. I'm sure I have something somewhere that will work!

Got the flannel adapted pants in the mail yesterday for the soldiers. I need to buy more flannel (if I can find some) on my next trip to my "fabric haunts."

After I sewed the children's things, I tackled cleaning a set of cabinets that have been collecting "stuff" for years. DH thought I was crazy, but it actually went faster than I expected. After one trashbag and one box for the ASG garage sale, I now have EMPTY space in the cabinets! I'm so happy! Of course, I have more cabinets to do, but at least I've begun and had success!

Well, need to go find something more to keep me busy this afternoon!
