Thank you for your sweet and thoughtful comments concerning the recent tragedy that threw all of us at the animal hospital for a loop. Yes, working Saturday morning was hard for us. Several clients dropped by just to leave food or flowers, along with some encouraging words for us. Like the farmer's wife, "carrying on" is difficult. I think we just wanted to crawl in bed and pull the covers over our head(s).
But we made it!
The memorial service was nice. The family has lots of support and their faith is strong.
Jessi, the passenger in the car, is at home and doing well. That is encouraging to us.
I was surpised when I saw the blog subject was me. I wrote a response that went into cyberspace and my computer died. Thankfully the nasty computer bug could be removed and I did not lose everything or the computer hard drive and the guru beefed up the security with a new malaware program and service pack. This is the first time this junk has ever happened to me so I guess I was overdue.
ReplyDeleteI am really glad that Jessi is improving and that somehow the vet office is trying to take care of the animals despite the sadness there. That obviously was Sarah's focus in life and the inspiration for the office to work even harder for the animals she loved. Being a horse and rescue dog person that also sews, this blog is always one of the several that I check on a regular basis. I enjoy your nice sewing projects and seeing the sewing bargains you get in your area. We used to have textile factories here before they moved overseas and there were bargains of all sorts on sewing items in the aftermarket. My biggest regret was not stashing a full roll of the really wide fusible interfacing that I used to buy for .50 a yard and lots more thread cones of all kinds at $1 each. One day those stores and all the contents just vanished so make sure to stash some things just in case. Almost everything has to be bought online now around here which is a big eyeopener price wise when one is used to the sewing industry leftovers.I stashed what I thought was a good supply of a few things but not nearly enough.
Take care and God bless all of you as you heal from the tragedy. mssewcrazy
