Friday

I'm still working on my community service projects. Here's the latest chemo cap. I've done four by this pattern. Isn't it cute? It's a fast knit, and I love to see the finished project. Fortunately, I had picked up several skeins of fun fur for $1 when I found some on sale at Hancocks so I have a little stash of colors from which to choose.

I've been making several of the ladies dresses that we donate to the State Hospital. They seem to always be in need of dresses for the larger ladies, so we make big sizes. I have recently been using this Butterick Connie Crawford pattern in the size 6X. I haven't taken any photos yet. Sorry.

The yard is in need of attention. I spent some time trimming trees today. Now, in the next few days, weather permitting, I must clean up all the "brush" I created. Some of the trees along the fence line had gotten out of hand, and it was causing problems mowing. Hopefully, I can get a handle on that problem.

Still no sewing for me. Just can't find the spirit right now.

Haven't been by for a couple of days and several new posts. After trimming trees and cleaning up brush, I guess you are a bit slower. My dh does that on our farm and it is quite a chore. I think the new chemo caps are really beautiful with the fun fur. And dresses for the large ladies to top it all off oh my. You are amazing. mssewcrazy

  3. This hat is so gorgeous. My what a generous heart you have. You inspire me to do more charity sewing than I do which is only at Christmas time.

  4. Love that! I may have to dash upstairs to see if I can unearth some appropriate yarn. Thanks for the link to the pattern.
