Another blouse in the making

The batik I had hoped to use for a second BWOF blouse just didn't have the soft hand I had hoped after washing. So, I had to make another choice, and I chose this:

It's a nice soft cotton, and in this close up, I hope you can see the raised threads that look a bit like bobbin work.

I'm going to change the sleeves to 3/4 length for this one and shorten it a bit overall.

I managed to get it cut out today and hope to work on it some tomorrow if the sewing gods are with me.

Me wearing the white version:

  1. Hi Linda! I'm glad you got the jacket pattern. What I like best about it is that it has a bit of a curve at the side waist so it is streamlined and gives you a nice shape. I had to add an FBA and narrow the shoulders before I got the fit I wanted. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.
Your BWOF shirt is beautiful and the plaid is too. I subscribed to BWOF for a year and didn't make a thing so I decided I won't let myself subscribe to it again until I've used it at least three times.

  2. I hope you love that white blouse because it looks great on you. Your plaid embellished fabric is pretty. It will make a gorgeous blouse.
