I had to share this beautiful shrug that my friend (and knitting teacher) knitted for me. Isn't it lovely? I LOVE IT!
We struck a deal several months ago when I saw this pattern made up at a knitting shop we were visiting. I fell in love with it, but knew I would probably never have the stick-to-it-tiveness to finish such a project. She wanted some yarn that she couldn't cost justify on her budget--so I offered to buy her yarn and pattern book in return for her knitting services. She agreed. (I'm sure I got the better end of the deal--she thinks otherwise :-)) Luckily for me, the yarn I wanted for this project was on sale at 50% off.
I gave her full creative license, so she modified a few things about the pattern (which I think improved it) and did her own lace pattern.
I am so happy!
