* Goodness, it's been a month since I posted! I think I must be in a 'summer slump.'
* I've been doing some community service sewing for my ASG group. I had forgotten how tedious some children's clothes can be! Also, I've been knitting chemo hats. I can knit them when I'm in a "want to do something not too involved mood."
* Yard work has taken up lots of my time in the last couple of months.
* Heat has zapped some of my energy. While it has been a "mild" summer for us, i.e. not a month long of 100+ degree days, it's still been hot! And thunderstorms have brought lots of humidity! UGH
* I have completed (watching) the Kathy Ruddy class on Craftsy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wrote about it (sort of a review) on Stitchers Guild).
* I'm also watching the Linda Maynard class on neck bands. Not finished there yet.
* My house needs a thorough cleaning, but who wants to do that????
* Sewing room looks like a tornado has swept through. Too many projects going at one time!
* Hit an estate sale yesterday on my way home from exercise. Picked up some sewing notions (needles, belt buckle, a package of Wrights piping with the original package price of 19 cents. How long ago must that have been?) Also found some other treasures - some beautiful vintage costume jewelry, and other misc items. That was fun!
* Having lunch today with some high school friends. Always enjoy seeing them!
* Here's hoping the slump will pass soon.
I had no idea Kathy Ruddy has a Crafty class til I read your post. Just scooted over there to check it out. Looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment on my blog. Hope you get your mojo back soon---how about some fast crochet?
ReplyDeleteI saw Kathy Ruddy once at a sewing expo. I bet her class was fun! I'll have to go checkit out. I'm just getting to blog reading after an unintentional break, KWIM?
