Here is the "wearable muslin" of the Louise Cutting Ebb top. I really like it. This fabric was given to me and appears to be a "fake" linen that has what I believe to be a majority of rayon. Very soft, and pretty drapey. This color does nothing for me but wash me out, but I'll probably wear the top some before I give it to the Genesis Center. I'll just have to slather on some brighter lipstick color so as not to look too faded.
The patterns I ordered were delivered on Friday as expected. This afteroon I traced off the Sewing Workshop Liberty Shirt and the Plaza Pants--both in a size Medium. I really had hoped to get a trial pair of the pants sewn today, but it just didn't happen. Perhaps tomorrow afternoon. I have my knitting group in the morning after exercise at Curves.
I leave you with the last two evening's harvests from the garden. Many "maters" and cute little lemon cucumbers.

I think it's very interesting that you need only to brighten up your makeup. Such a trick would not work for me. I think I'm jealous. Not only do you have a fabulous top, beautifully constructed, but you also have an easy effective way to adapt to colors that aren't your own! You are so lucky
ReplyDeleteThat's a great top for any time of year. I've never seen a cucumber like yours.
