I got my jeans basted together - no top stitching, no back pockets, etc - just 4.5 length stitch. Still had a few wrinkles under the bum.
So............(before any photos, sorry), I took the scissors and started slashing and pinning another dart right under the bum. If you watch Peggy's web cast, I think this method is shown at about 19:40 on the "tape." It was late for me to be in the sewing room (too late for me to be handling scissors and needles), so I laid them aside and hope to be able to get back to them today.
More work to do, but optimistic on this end. Stay tuned.
P.S. I think I FINALLY got the comment word verification OFF. I appreciate comments, and don't want to make it hard to leave them.
