This is knit fabric (probably a poly) that reminds me of an onion skin type that my friend Eve found and had to get for me. Thanks Eve! We are both horse lovers. I used a favorite Kwik Sew top (sorry, I don't have the number right now) and 'fussy cut' so I could have a horse right side up on both the front and back.
The neck is a bit whomper-jawed in these photos. It's really OK in person. No hems in yet. I'm thinking of a black rolled hem and just regular coverstitched hems on the sleeves.
I had good luck with my alterations and I have a wonderful story to share with you about this alteration experience. (I just don't have time right now to get it all down, but I promise to get it posted in the next few days.) I'm so glad I have gotten to know this client.
Early (7:30) this mornning one of my neighbors called to tell me she had rescued a kitten from a "hole" and could I take it in. Well yes, bring it on over. I'm guessing about 7-8 weeks - a tortoise - and has an injured leg. She will go to the Vet clinic first thing in morning. In the meantime, she's in the garage with my one of my newer "adult" rescues, Sweetness. Sweetness accepted her and seems to be watching out for her.
I'm happy football season is back and am anxious to see my Cowboys tonight.
