Painting and Pursley's

Hi everyone. I've spent most of the day painting. Status now is that there are two coats of paint on the walls. Next up is brush work around the doors and baseboards where I can't get with the roller. Then, it's back to get more paint. Looks like I'm going to need an additional gallon for the ceiling. Ugh, ceilings are no fun....then on to the baseboards.

I have no time limit, but I want to finish the painting soon - hopefully this week - we'll see..........

I got an inquiry from K Neal about Pursley's. It's the button capitol of the world :). Well, at least here in these parts!

Pursley's has a couple of locations I think, but I always go to the one in Duncanville at 208 N. Main. It's not hard to find. Going west on I-20 from Dallas, take the N. Main exit and go south (left) on N. Main. I'm not good at distances, but it is a few blocks down. You will see the old Ben Franklin store (with a steeple) on the left, and in the block just past the Ben Franklin is Pursley's (also on the left).

Plan a trip around lunch time. Ben Franklin's has the old fashioned soda fountain area and serves some of the best homemade Tomato Basil soup I've ever tasted. Most of their homemade desserts are WONDERFUL, too!

Happy shopping!
