It is a black background that looks like corduroy with a copper/gold "rubbery" stamped type animal print. Wierd, huh? I picked it up at Pursley's Discount Fabrics in Duncanville a few months ago. I am using a microtech needle and it's working well, so far. It doesn't press great, but is passable for this pattern.
Sorry that I don't have a pic of the pattern envelope. I suppose this one is OOP so I promise to upload a photo so you will know what it is supposed to look like. I am leaving the top pockets off since this fabric is so busy.
Next up is sewing the two piece sleeves together and into the jacket.
I love that fabric/pattern combination. That is going to be gorgeous. I have a today's fit jean jacket pattern that I would like something similar from. Right now my garment sewing area had to disappear for the holidays (sigh) since it is in my living room normally. Vet school daughter and her two little dogs will be here for a month so I need to forget sewing as a hobby for 2009 at least. Keep the good projects coming so I can virtual sew at least. mssewcrazy
