I have been doing a few things

I've been knitting/sewing some chemo caps for our ASG Neighborhood group project. If you have been following me for a while, you may remember this post from early 2009. Here is a sample what I've done so far. I think I have a total of 12 complete as of this writing.





And a new Tea Garden T is complete--FINALLY. This is a lovely rayon lycra that I purchased not too long ago. It feels really nice! To stablize the hems (arms and body), I fused some knit interfacing (that still provided some stretch) so that when I sewing the coverstitch hem, there was no "tunneling."



I really love this pattern, but sewing the gussets seem to always give me fits. I mark well, but for some reason I seem to get "tucks" at the points and I have to rip out and go again. Finally, it all comes together, and it is worth the effort. This will likely be my Christmas day lunch top with the family.

Next up is a burda jeans jacket pattern. Stay tuned, and I'll share a photo of the fabric (not denim) later. I finished cutting it out this afternoon.
