Onnie Onyx had her ACL repair surgery on Thursday and came home yesterday afternoon. She has a pain patch on her back, and, overall, seems to be doing well. Last night she was a bit restless; seemed to have difficulty finding a comfy place to light.
We must keep the bandage dry until we go back to the Vet on Monday. You will notice her duct tape ballet toe shoe. That is designed to keep the morning dew from soaking the bandage when she goes out to take care of necessities.
DH and I have been through this surgery with two past Rotties many years ago. The surgery is now more refined and, I think, recovery will be quicker. I hope so--for her sake and mine.
(I'm surprised she asked for leopard vet wrap; I figured she would have requested purple to match her collar....but what does MOM know?) :)
