In Just an Instant

I sign back on this morning to share my heavy heart. Shortly after my earlier entry, I learned that the two young ladies that work at the vet clinic were in a serious accident yesterday. The 16 year old driver, Sarah, was killed. Jessie, the 19 year old, is being released from the hospital today with a non-weight bearing fractured pelvis.

Sarah had been with us for at least 2 years, coming in as a volunteer. Becoming a Vet had been her wish, and she begged to come "hang out" and learn whatever she could. She was learning fast and a big help to the doctor--a very handy "assistant" always eager to learn. We often called her "little Sarah" because she was such a petite young lady. Yet, she never hesitated to lead some of the biggest dogs to the kennels as they were dropped off for boarding.

I am really going to miss her at the clinic. I'm so sad. I hurt for her family.

That is awful about the accident. My daughter who is a junior in vet school used to volunteer at a clinic so it really makes me feel sad to hear this. People who work with animals are very special people to me. I send prayers for her family and friends. mssewcrazy
