I had made a crochet cap similar to this one a couple of years ago in black and white for a friend's daughter. She had described what she wanted--a crochet cap (with a few stripes) with a bill on the front. Hmm. OK. She loved what I came up with and still wears it often. When I saw her a couple of weeks ago (while she was wearing it) she said, 'you know, I'd like another one of these.' Her college colors are green/white so I said, 'how about a green and white one?' She approved so yesterday I got busy.
I made it in a few hours. I used no pattern, just made it up as I went along. It is just a variety of single and double crochet stitches with the double strand of yarn woven through in the crown.
I think she will like it. I hope so. I'll probably get a chance to give it to her next weekend.
Maybe this afternoon I'll get back to the dress.....
