80 degrees----PLEEEZE....

It's the day after Christmas. We had a nice day with family and ate so much good food. We do lunch at my cousin's. He and his wife cook the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy. The rest of the visitors bring vegies, desserts, breads, and various snacks. I took pecan pie, chocolate cream pie, and divinity.

It was in the 60's yesterday, but today, it's 80. Was it last week we had ice on the roads? I do think this may be a record temp for Decemer 26. Needless to say the heat hasn't kicked on in the house, and I'm toying with the idea of cranking on the A/C. REALLY!

I tossed around the idea of working on my teal wool jacket, but it's too hot to handle wool today. So, I pulled out this little knit hat I made to donate to the children's shelter. It was all done except sewing the back seam. Didn't take long, it was just "getting to it." So it's ready to deliver, but I don't think anyone will need it today.

I did clean up a bit in the sewing room. The cutting table was covered with yarn, patterns, scraps of fabric from the rice bags and scraps of wrapping paper. It's now ready for a project if I can just get the mojo.
