This is the size 16 straight out of the envelope.
Sorry, but I just couldn't let the face be published today. I've been home all day and haven't 'prettied up.'
Back:
I think it has potential. I need to move shoulder seams forward, and I may need to take it in a bit in the front. The fabric is not stable so the bias cut front may have just stretched a bit as I manipulated it. I think it's worth a try with the blue solid.
Stay tuned. I've got a full day tomorrow away from the house, so I may not be able to further attack this until Sunday afternoon.
That is so similiar to my V8090 jacket that I blogged about a couple of days ago. They look almost identical.
ReplyDeleteI just checked your blog and the blue floral looks a lot like the QVC special value from Susan Graver today that I admired but lots prettier. Wow $1.50 that Dallas fabric area must be awesome. You will look great at graduation. Today is not one of my good photo days either sitting here in knit pants that have become high waters. Lol! I will have to do better tomorrow as I have a funeral to attend and will have to come out of the grubbies and do the hair makeup thing, mssewcrazy
ReplyDeleteI have that pattern too, nice to see it made up (if even in muslin form!) It looks pretty good as is...minor alterations only, gotta love that.
ReplyDeleteA great style for a jacket. I love Burda patterns because they fit me well though I must admit that I sew with Vogue most often.
ReplyDeleteI really like the shape of that jacket...so striking! I have been trying to control myself where Burda is concerned, but there are quite a few that are calling my name!
