I basically like it, but I'm wondering now if it will be OK for the dress. I'm reserving judgment until the dress is complete. And, yes, the dress is finally cut out. I got some time in the sewing room this afternoon to work on the jacket and get the dress cut.
I'm beginning to feel rushed as graduation is just a couple of weeks away. If this outfit doesn't get completed, I have enough in my closet to fill the bill.
Lots of mowing to do this week. Otherwise the place might become a jungle. Tomorrow is Curves and the dentist and a trip by the organic nursery. That will just about take up the day............
P.S. This is a new iris this year. Pale yellow. It's lovely, don't you think?
Nice jacket--the color is wonderful! I have a yellow McCall jacket that is so similiar it's almost the same pattern! Pretty iris.
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket and the iris! Those burda patterns really have style. Buttons always cause me a lot of thought especially when part of an outfit that also has buttons. I would probably cover a larger button for the jacket if I were using normal buttons on the dress unless I found coordinating sizes in buttons or something really fabulous ( difficult these days with the selection one can find). When I take my semi annual outing to a large thrift shop with my friend who hunts things for her grandsons while I just snoop around fabrics and odds and ends , I plan to search for garments with very special buttons that I might want to harvest. There is nothing around here fabric wise anymore. I love the colors in your graduation outfit- hope it all works out for you. mssewcrazy
