Anyway, back view with jacket:
And front:
And dress alone:
I'll only wear the jacket if weather requires. I had reservations as to how it might look and the bulk is too much at the hip. Plus, since it is not lined, it 'sticks' to the cotton dress. However, if push comes to shove, (and I need something on my arms) it will work fine. Afterall, who will be looking at me? We'll all be watching the graduates!
I have enough blue to make a skirt and/or capris so the jacket will not go unworn. I do like the jacket, not so much with this dress, however.
And I do like the dress. It's very comfortable. I think I'll make it once more in a linen or linen blend. I'll probably change it up--maybe plain with a back zipper closure--hmm--I'll be thinking about it.
For those of you who love chocolates, take a peek at what a friend brought me from her vacation in Belgium/Amsterdam: Aren't they just too pretty to eat? NOT--3 are already gone...........
Both pieces are lovely. The dress would look really cute with a waist-length jacket. Hey, we all have bad hair-wish my bad hair day looked as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is very pretty - I really like the pattern of the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love the cut of that dress and both fabrics. I was wondering if the jacket would crawl as much if worn open or if that jacket design could be worn like that. I wished my bad hair days were that good as well. mssewcrazy
