The Burda Dress

I finally took the time to photograph the picture of the Burda WOF dress I have now cut out and ready to sew. It's from a 2005 magazine.

The fabric I'm using is a pink flower print rayon that was given to me last summer. I think the sewing will be pretty easy. Hope to get started tomorrow.

I finally managed to pick up a January 2008 Burda WOF from Ebay. I have wanted that one with all the blouse patterns that so many folks have found so wonderful. I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail, and I'm hoping it will arrive early this week.

I stopped my sub to Burda WOF a year or so ago because I wasn't using them very much. I really haven't missed it until this January blouse one.

I made the Burda WOF skirt. I don't have a good photo of it yet. One is on the camera but it's not so hot. I like the way it turned out. I wanted elastic in the waist so I just didn't sew the darts and made sure I could get it over my hips (which I could) and then sewed on a waist band with elastic. That came out fine and with an overblouse, one can't tell it is the elastic band.
