Good Intentions; With Frustrations

Today was filled with good intentions.

I've been intending to make a "copy" of my cool collar that I use when I'm doing yard work in the heat. I don't even know where I got it, but it is basically a terry cloth tube that is filled with ice cubes and velcro fastens around my neck. I wanted to make one for my Sister. This morning, I did it! It was easy, went fast and my morning success!

Then I decided to complete one of my ASG community service project dresses. I was serging up the final side seam and caught part of the dress--and Yes, serged a slit about 3 inches in the lower front of the dress. Yikes--how do I fix that? I decided to fold it neatly and put it out of sight.

The Ottobre T's were on my mind. After lunch, I began to trace. (when will I learn to measure the pattern BEFORE I trace?) I traced a 42 based on my measurements. AND I traced off 3 patterns. I cut and sewed the tank top--feel like I have on a sports bra. Part of it is the knit I used. Not enough stretch. So, tomorrow (or sometime) I will trace a larger size, BUT I will measure first! I'll probably go up two sizes. Overall, I think I'm really going to like the fit of the tank (when I get it done in the correct size!)

At that point, I quit for the day--well I thought through how to fix dress. If it works well, I'll report back. I'll also try to upload photos tommorrow.
