But not fabric cutting. Today was the first day the front yard area was dry enough (in some spots at least) to tackle it with the big tractor mower. Some of the grass/weeds were literally waist high. The rains have been so steady over the past 6 weeks, there has been little time dry enough to mow.
So, after Curves and having lunch with a friend, I cranked up the tractor. I was having to dodge some of the low spots as I didn't want to take a chance on getting the tractor stuck (which one my friends did earlier this week in her pasture/yard). Concentrating on dodging any low spots, I got too close to one of the low hanging tree limbs and the roll bar of the tractor caught it and broke it. Well, it wasn't completely broken off and it was resting behind the seat of the tractor. (Too bad I didn't think to get a photo to share with you.) So, then I had to give up the mowing for sawing.
Got the limb sawed off and cut into smaller pieces to go to the burn pile--THEN I finished mowing. sheesh!!!! Have lots more mowing to do. If it doesn't rain tonight, I'll get back to it tomorrow.
I may be missing in action from the sewing room for most of the week. Only time (and rain) will tell.
