Finally! Some sewing on the seersucker Burda top.
The stars finally aligned and I was able to get some sewing done on the burda top. I think I'm going to like it, and I think it is going to work with the skirt.
I'm not sure cutting the yoke on the bias was a smart move. It stretched a bit on me, but I think I can still make it workable. I do have enough fabric to recut, but I'm wanting to get it finished and don't know that I am willing to "start over" so to speak.
I have the bias strip sewn on to the left armhole. It is just pinned under for now. Left side seam is basted. Right side - just pinned. So, that is some of the lopsidedness in the photo. May have to pull in the sideseams a bit just under the arm. I have some gap there when its on me. That's easy enough.
I hope I have the where-with-all to finish it tomorrow.
