Actually, Nino's 31'st birthday was this past Friday. I took the photo on Friday, but am just now getting it posted. Sorry, I don't know how to do those special characters on the computer. His name should have "~" over the second "n". Pronouced Neen-Yo. Spanish for Little Boy. And, no, he's not been little in a long time!
He gave us a scare earlier in the year with some digestion problems, but he seems to be back to his "fighting weight" and reigning well over his pasture kingdom!
He has given the whole family much joy over the time he has lived with us. He belonged to a dear friend from El Paso. She showed him all over the country in his younger days. He could be quite the showman. Anyhow, he's been retired since he came to live with us about 17 years ago. He was very patient with me as I learned to ride. He has been a pleasure horse for me and what a PLEASURE he has been - AND STILL IS!
I told the Vet yesterday, We're going to keep him going to celebrate his 50th! Doc just smiled and said, "Yes, and then we will be on the national news!"
Happy Birthday Sweetie! I love your beautiful eyes!
Try the probiotic food. My girlfriend did that for our old quarter horse friend. In four months it was like he was seven years younger. Best thing we have ever done for a horse.
ReplyDeleteI am now giving my older cat probiotics and the results are wonderful. It basically like giving them active cultures. It replenishes the stuff in their guts that digest their food so they get more nutrients out of what they eat. The results are amazing.
Happy Birthday, handsome fella!
