This is tapestry fabric that I ran across at one of haunts in the Dallas fabric district. It had been water damaged and was only $.99/yd. As soon as I got it home, I threw it into the washer/dryer. It came out so soft and velvety. I think there was 2 or 3 yards so it worked out great for this project. Here's the zipper so I can take the cover off to wash it:
As you can see, Bumper gave it her seal of approval!

I managed to work on my "Shapes" skirt pattern. My energy gave out by the time I got to the waistband. This is hopefully my wearable muslin. I took out 4" in the length on this one and I think it will be pretty close to what I want. Isn't this a loud print? (but I love the roses) Maybe it will get finished tomorrow. It is just pinned to Saphroni in this photo.
