Peggy Sagers responded to my question indicating I may have stretched the neckline as I was sewing on the twisted collar. I took the collar off, ran a basting stitch along the neckline and pulled it in, then regathered the collar to fit and now I think it is worse. I've decided it's the fabric. It's just too drapey. It is a rayon/lycra (oh so soft, feels so good), but it just doesn't work with this pattern.
So, I'll cut another at some point, make some fitting adjustments with the dart and see how it works out. I love this neckline treatment so I can't let this pattern go to waste!
Not sure what the rest of the day holds. I'm kinda bummed out at this point.
