Another Scrub

Just finished this one after I got home today. I already had it cut out, and I've made this pattern (McCalls 9652) so many times, I think I could do it with eyes closed. The sewing went pretty fast. I did shorten this one by about 4". I have solid black washed up and ready to cut scrub pants that I will wear with this top.

As previously mentioned, here's a photo of the Fabric Mart fabric that came last week. DGD gets the green dot for a top. Not sure what the purple dot will become.

These are the patterns that arrived from my e-bay purchase. The one that caught my eye was the one in the upper left corner, the Givenchy. I also like the Adele Simpson. On the flap of that envelope it states "Adele Simpson, a woman of small stature, is a designer who stands very tall in the fashion world. Her philosophy: "the body is fluid and therefore clothes must always move easily...they must never be contrived." From that philosophy spring the most wearable clothes."

The others include two Bill Blass, one Jerry Silverman and one Pierre Balmain. I'm not so interested in them; I bought the lot for the other two. These others may end up back on e-bay.

Not sure about tomorrow and sewing..............

You better keep the horse scrubs on your back or under lock and key at all times the way horse people like this type of thing. It is really cute and striking. I had not noticed the shaping on the bottom of this scrub pattern until yours- most are just squared off to be unisex. I think I would like this top pattern. My around the place wear in summer on a farm now is prety much an easy washed scrub set turned into capris. I used to wear machine embroidered cotton tees and shorts at home to work in but decided the shorts had to cease and the tee shirts needed to go as well. The ones I liked (100% cotton) and cut nicer than the men's in the neck were getting pricey and declining in quality/fit plus getting hard to find anyway. I will definitely try this pattern. mssewcrazy
