Fill in the Blanks

I think I may have told you in a previous post that the Rainbow Room had received donations from various stores such as Old Navy, The Gap, etc in which only one piece of the "set" was left. The Rainbow Room folks asked our guild to "fill in the blanks" with an appropriate top or bottom for each outfit.

These are some of what I brought home and have completed:

This top needed some sweat pants. Here are come blue ones from some of the old fabric stash:

Here I had pink sweat pants that needed a top. I found some left over polar fleece that matched pretty well:

This pic is a little dark. On the right was an Old Navy waffle navy knit top, and I made maroon corduroy pants. Sorry the colors aren't reflected correctly. On the left I made the "doggie" knit top to go with the little blue knit pants.

I have one more pair of sweat pants that need a top made. I have to keep searching the stash to find a match. I know I MUST have something!

I spent some time New Year's Day going through boxes of my stash. As you might expect I found stuff that had been long forgotten. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and feel such a need to get some of that stuff sewn up. No resolution made, but I'm really going to work toward weeding out the stash. I'm taking 3 pieces to my next guild meeting to see if anyone would like to have it since I've decided I won't use it. And, my sewing buddy came by today and she took two pieces that she will use for her grandsons. Yeah!
