This was fabric that I purchased from J's when I brought home about 13 pieces of fabric that was one-half off the red tag prices. I went wild that day, but the prices were so good!
Anyhow, the J's fabric is the darker fabric with a raised thread texture. It is cotton. The skirt is made from it and already at Sis's house (thus no pic). When I got to the top, I didn't have enough fabric so I had to improvise (stash shop) to find something that would match. I found this teal solid that I have no idea where I got or how long I've had. BUT IT MATCHED! The colors in the photo appear lighter than they really are.
Note that this top is on my dress form and I'm a bit smaller than Sis--so the fit appears off (but it fits her very well). I had planned to cover buttons in the darker color, BUT I found these buttons at C&C Fabric. I got 29 buttons for $.50 and they are such a match, don't you think? So I went with them.
So, today, I get to show some fabric "out" on my "score card." BUT I did buy 3 yards of flannel on sale last Friday to make adapted pants for the Soldiers (so I also have shown an addition tothe fabric "in" column).
