Pattern Maker Again

A little sewing going on here. I had ordered the Women's Designer 1 from Pattern Maker.com back in November. You may remember that I had downloaded the free patterns a while back and had such good luck with the princess styled top.

Well, out of REAL muslin, I cut out the princess sheath and I, again, was very happy with the way it fit right out of the box. I wanted more flair at the hem, so I played with the pattern (with pencil and added paper) and came up with a new pattern which I cut out of *real* fabric late yesterday afternoon. Hopefully, it will look good with my changes. I won't have time to sew it today as my neighborhood ASG group is getting together 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to have fun while we sew community service projects. Between now and the time to leave for the group, I need to load my sewing stuff in the car, wash my hair, and put something together in the crock pot for dinner tonight.

Sis needed some fabric to back a couple of quilts. I told her to come over before she bought anything--that I *might* have something in the stash that would work for her and do us both a favor (get her some free fabric and get more out of my stash). It worked! She found 2 pieces of 60" wide cotton that will work for two of them. Yeah! So 5 more yards to the "given away" column in my tracking log.

I also ordered some fabric this a.m. from Fabric.com--some of the blue peacock rayon knit that is on sale and some of the flannel for "soldier" lounge pants. When it gets here, I'll have to add it to the "fabric in" column, but that's OK as right now, more is going out than coming in.

Oh, and as a P.S.--the faucet cover is still on as of this morning. I know, I shouldn't speak too soon! Onyx may be mulling over her plan of attack as I type!
