Off the Wagon....AGAIN

Well, so much for being proud of myself on my shopping day Tuesday....I succumbed to the Fashion Fabrics Club e-mail this morning when I saw "tencel knit." I HAD to try it. Ofcourse black and white are already sold out, but I ordered some off white for T's for Sis and I.

Then on to the rayon knit--got two pieces. One for a dress for Sis and one for me. Oh well, so much for the fabrice moratorium during the month of March! April will be better!!!!! (I hope).

Yesterday I sewed up Louise Cutting's one-seams in the poly/rayon/lycra knit (called Sophia) from Fabric.com that was just delivered on Monday. That was pretty fast, Huh? I had read about how nice the fabric was on Wild Ginger forum (I think that was it). There were only two colors left, red and burgandy. I got the burgandy. I love it and wish they had more to order.

Pants story--hadn't made this pattern in over a year. Why I don't know, but....Tried on the pair I made last. A bit snug in the hip area. Being lazy and not wanting to re-measure OR trace a new pattern, I took a chance with that WONDERFUL fabric. I cut the same pattern, but used 3/8 rather than 5/8 inch seams. With the knit and that extra bit of room, I'm so happy with the way they turned out. I'm going to watch for more of this fabric. I have enough left for a T I think. Not sure if I can get to the sewing room today. Car goes in for service and then grocery shopping this afternoon (neither of which are my favorite chores).

P.S. All the fabric from Tuesday is washed and ready.
