Shopping instead of Thinkin

I made it to J's on Friday in hopes of snagging this V8353 in my size, and it was there.

I also picked up 2945 and 2913 (which I can't find pictured on the Vogue site.

Then I made the mistake of looking at the "on sale" fabric and came home with 4 pieces. Two pieces are already cut out. I had gotten this vogue a week or so ago on sale at H's, and it is now cut out of one of those pieces of fabric. (So much for the pledge to sew only from the stash.)

Picked up thread that was 50% off and a magazine with my 40% off coupon. Then got another 10% off with my ASG card. Three sacks for just under $100. I guess that's OK.

I really need to quit buying patterns and sew instead. Why can't I do that?

  1. Doesn't it seem at times that its easier to dream about what we're going to sew than actually sewing it! I purchased Vogue 8353 recently also. Did you buy fabric for the dress also?

  2. Hi Sharon, yes much more dreaming than sewing. I haven't yet bought fabric for the dress. I love the dress as it is - black gingham, so that's what I'm still leaning toward if I can find it.
