This is Kwik Sew 2970. (It must be OOP since I can't find it on the website. I'll take a photo of it and post later.--edited 6/4/07: A pic came up on Pattern Review this morning when I did a review. You can see here.) Zipper was to be a side, but I don't have lots of luck with side zips, so it became a back zipper. That worked out fine. I didn't make any alterations to this pattern so it went pretty quickly. I'm happy with the fit, and I really like the light blue color. This is 100% cotton, and it washed up really soft. I washed it about 4 times to try to get most of the shrinkage taken care of.
My program for my ASG group is Tuesday. I've mentioned before, it is our "Christmas in June" program to try to get us motivated to start early on any gifts or decorations we plan to make. This afternoon I completed a SpiderMan pillowcase that will be a gift for a Cousin's grandson. (So at least I'm one gift ahead.)
I used this method of making the pillowcase from
Vicki's blog
It didn't take long at all to complete this project. I'll probably make a couple more for gifts for the young ones. I really like the use of the contrast piece
